I wear a brace on my leg and it fits very well in the shoe, but the sides of the shoe could have a little more support for me . I love the the look and I wear them for shorter distances . Very light, cool and comfy in hot weather, like slippers, but runs a bit short for my foot. Recommend half to a full size larger for allowance for cushioned sox and long walks. Perfect for bike riding though. I gave up the bike shoes with stirrups, so these are perfect. The soles are a bit thin for me on gravel and other outdoor surfaces, and I can feel the "earth move beneath my feet" when walking, so I prefer to wear thicker soled shoes with more foot structural support for long walks. Love the gold saddle shoe style--very unique, and get lots of admiring comments.
